Joy Turned to Sorrow

Okay so maybe the title is a little over the top but I was really excited and looking forward to receiving my dragon figure which I had to wait even longer for because of the four day Easter weekend, and then what heart break when I get him out of the box one of his toes just falls off!

Yep the tiny joint just broke without so much as a how do you do, it's so sad. My first thought was to contact Kaiyodo to see if they would offer a replacement part, however I could not find any contact details for them. So I checked out the terms and conditions over at Amiami, who I purchased the figure from, and it looks like they might do something about items which are defective. I have sent a little message through to them detailing what happened and letting them know I took photo's if they wish to see proof.

For now I guess I will hold off on my review of the figure till I've heard back from them. I'm not asking for a whole new figure only a replacement part, though I don't know if that will be possible. I guess he can survive without one toe, however the fact that I paid 6,180 yen for him and he broke straight away kind of leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Have any of you experienced the same problem, I've only had joints break on figures I've owned for a while (because plastic degrades naturally over time) if so were you able to get replacement parts?
